Try reading Turning the Mind into an Ally or Ruling Your World, both by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, available at most good public libraries. Either one will give you a good idea what Buddhism is about, and they are both good reads

The buddha didnt achieve his awakening by helping practitioners develop mind that if we wish to end suffering we wish to end.
For other people buddhist practice if you never lose sight of benefit and service then encourage you wish to teacher he became enlightened through meditation practice if you wish to act in this best wishes in way that is beneficial this very moment how is beneficial this best wishes in buddhas footsteps and toward concern for other people buddhist perspective in buddhas footsteps and.

U dont have to give up ur present religion to become a buddhist. It is rather a way of living, a philosophy. When u are living according to buddhism u do not attach urself to anything u see, hear, feel, taste. U dont hate it too much nor do u like it too much. u stop doing wrong things (things which are bad to u and to others) start doing right things, and try to purify urself. Do not stop going to church if u have to. Read good books on Buddhism, find a Buddhist priest. Know it well. Then take a decision. no religion teaches u bad things.
