I them is says Thou shall not kill.
Life is a most beautiful gift…bestowed upon us by our Creators.
If you look at the History of our planet…which is around 4.5 billion years old….there has only been 10,000 years of actual peace.
If we are so wise as humans we should look to the past & history and learn for the past mistakes…not continue making the same foolish mistakes.
Wars & Killing millions upon millions of innocent peoples is just senceless. It proves nothing …if we sit down and comminitcate our differences that is the best way to deal with things.

I believe all religions believe in peacefullness and gentleness and kindness. Also Christians. But, sometimes war is necessary, sadly.

i agree that buddhism is the most gentle, peaceful and life-affirming religion there is. other religions teach peace and love, but are also divisive and teach fear and violence at the same time. (for example, the bible and koran have many violent passages advocating war, cruelty, and destruction.)
