If you need to keep saying that, something’s wrong. Isn’t it because, maybe, it is not peaceful and you have to keep lying to yourself and others? I’m sure that the overwhelming majority is made up of normal, peaceful folks, but Islam truly is/was violent at the core. Buddhism, on the other hand, is indeed peaceful and you don’t hear buddhists saying that all the time, if ever, because everyone knows that through the way they act.
