Isn’t Buddhism a more tolerant, peace-loving form of faith than Christianity?

After all, Buddhism doesn’t actively persecute some groups such as homosexuals.

Buddhism doesn’t condemn those who hold different views as heretics.

So couldn’t it be said that Buddhism is a more advanced spiritual practice than Christianity?
